I want to change a folder path in the registry (as data) by a variable.

QuickTime uses a registry key hklm\software\apple computer, inc\systempreferences value:FolderPath  Data:c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\......

Unfortunatly we have computers with different ALLUSERPROFILE location.
I'm looking for a way to change the registry data partially by a variable like Common Appdata.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

If i put a variable in it, it is not resolved.

Willo,

Once you have created a registry starting point like HKLM or HKCU, you can right click and select New-->Variable Registry Key or Variable Registry Value.  You can use any Windows variable here.  You can also create your own variable if you need to.  If you have any issues or questions, please let us know.

Thank You!
