I was successful in creating a package to install up to version 10 patch 608 and it works both as a full install and just an upgrade to patch 608.
Now with version 11 I can manually install the new version and the application launches smoothly. I can launch the application prior to running the third step in Prism Deploy expert, but after I finish the package and test deploy the package the License information is lost and the application won't open without prompting for the application to be purchased.
How do I troubleshoot this issue problem and get a working package?Constance
We found this information in the Diskeeper 2007 online manual: " Diskeeper product activation is an anti-piracy solution which verifies your copy of Diskeeper has been properly licensed. Product activation works by checking that the product license is not being used on more systems than allowed in the end user license agreement (EULA). Activation is completed via the Internet, and takes only 20 seconds or less. No personal information is collected, transmitted or used during activation. Only hardware identifiers and the license information are sent to Diskeeper Corporation's product activation system."
Diskeeper Support would be the best source of information for deploying Diskeeper 2007 to multiple computers. You may need to buy a different type of license for enterprise use. You could try creating the Package before you register the app, but then you would have to rely on each user to register it, which is not an ideal solution.
