We recommend that you add a requirement to the package to check for adequate disk space before installing the package. There is a known issue with Prism where it reports a lost connection to the server, when in reality the problem is there is insufficient disk space on the target computer to install the package.

Open the package in the Prism Editor, choose File|Properties, then go to the Requirements tab, Disk Space button. Set the requirements high enough for the uncompressed size of the package.

Let us know if this solves the problem.

Have you investigated the possiblity that the target computer really is losing its connection to the server?

This turned out to be a problem with one of the customer's RAID disks.
