| Has anyone had any success creating a package for the Flash player 9 plug-in on IE7? It deploys correctly because it creates the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash directory and the plug-in files appear to be there, but when the user launches IE7 and goes to a site requiring Flash, it doesn't recognize it as being installed. I also checked C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files and the Shockwave Flash object is there. Any ideas?
Thanks,

| To build a package of Adobe Flashplayer 9 for IE, you must get a redistributable license and download from Adobe. The Adobe Flash Player 9 that you can see on the website is not package-able. In order to get a copy of the “redistributable” installation file of Flashplayer 9 you need to go to the following website for Adobe. http://www.adobe.com/licensing/ Then I went to the link. http://www.adobe.com/licensing/distribution/ Apply for a License The application will take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete and will require you to provide general information about your intended usage. At the end, you will be provided with a link to your installers by email. Begin the licensing process by choosing the Player(s) you would like to distribute. You may repeat the process to license multiple players. We’ve tested building a Package “from” the redistributable and it does work. But it has to be built on a clean system that doesn’t already have Flash installed. The License for the redistributable that you receive will be for your organization only.
