The secgroup.dll gives us this possibility for users. It would be nice if it were possible to use secgroup.dll to read the computer AD group membership. In this way we could group computers that have a burner. Saving us the trouble to reassign packages for machines that were reinstalled.

RE: Install Prism packages based on computer group membership

There are many ways to automatically group computers and Tasks that are assigned to those groups will automatically install for any computer that joins that group. Unfortunately, it isn't currently possible to create a group based on CD-ROM drive type. Thanks for the suggestion.

Install Prism packages based on computer group membership

It would be nice to be able to use the group membership of computers to deploy packages. For instance the deployment of burn software is solely needed for computers with cd/dvd-burners. It would be nice to be able to group these computers into a single group.

We use the group membership of users to be able to reimage these machines without having to push packages again. This happens automatically.
