Is it possible to run an exe file after a package has executed?

I'm looking to create a base package for an application we've written, then after the install it will run an updater to get the most recent version of the files we need.

Is this possible using Prism Deploy 8?

A package itself cannot launch an executable, but if you use a Prism Script this can be accomplished. Create a new text file and rename the extension to .pts. Edit this file so it looks like the following:

/InstallPackage \\server\share\package.pwc
/Run C:\Program Files\Application\updater.exe

Create a Script task in Prism and you should be good to go. The Client will get the script task assignment and install the specified package and then launch the specified executable. Other script commands can be found in the Scripting Prism Tasks section of the Deployment Guide:
