| | Hello As i am using scripts for installing complete computer-software sets it is possible, sometimes, to reboot the computer.? For Example i will install redistributables from Microsoft at first, then has to be a reboot, and the rest of the script has to run after the reboot. Cause the MS Updates are only running until there is one that needs a reboot. After that the next Patches are running and so on. When i install this kind of tasks or packages from the script, the script will end with the reboot. My need is to start the script again from that point where it ended before the reboot. Hope there will be an answer soon Thanks a lot rrast |

| We do not support the ability to reboot in the middle of a Prism Script, and then pick up where the script left off when the computer starts again.
One way to get around this is to split up your Prism Script based on the reboots. So each script would end with one of your reboots. We can do this by having a Package that will reboot the machine. You can then deploy these tasks out one at a time.
If you are looking for ways to patch a machine using deployments, then I would suggest you refer to our Prism Patch Manager software, which is built for deploying patches to machines and allows the functionality to perform multiple reboots throughout a Patch deployment.
