The information in this article applies to Prism Deploy 9.0 and 9.1
If a distributed task deployment fails with error 6100 (distributed file does not exist), make sure your Prism server and Prism clients are the same version. The folder structure where distributed files are saved on Distribution Locations was changed between version 9.0 and 9.1. If the server, clients and Distribution Agent (which is a client) aren't exactly the same version, the distributed task will fail with error 6100.
In 9.0, the folder structure was \\server\share\<GUID for Channel>\<GUID for Task>.
In 9.1, the folder structure is \\server\share\<8-digit number>\<1-9 digit number>.
Note: If you use the self-distributed option, the distributed files are located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Prism Deploy\Distributed Files\<8-digit number>\<1-9 digit number>.
