Information: Below are the instance-level changes that are performed during the installation of Prism Patch Manager 7.0 and higher when installing to a RemoteSQL server that may affect other applications running on the instance:
- The 'xp_cmdshell' option is disabled.
- The 'Agent XPs' option is disabled.
- The 'clr enabled' option is disabled.
- The 'remote access' option is disabled.
If other applications running on the instance require any of these options to function, it is recommended to re-enable the option required Prism Patch Manger 7.0 or higher installation is complete.
Other Option: Create a new instance on your Enterprise SQL server just for the Prism Patch Manger 7.0 or higher install. These changes then only affect that instance.
